Has anyone ever heard of this unit?  I might buy one that is going for a good price but can't find a dam thing about it and I have no idea of it's good or worth it or what?

I have read a few reviews but their pretty  :poop: and basic and not proper indepth.

Thought I'd throw it out there and see if one of you fine fellows knew about it????????

Quick search found this:
Rocktron Intellipitch : richter's user review (Audiofanzine)

Else, try locating a Digitech TSR-24S 19" processor ;)
BTW, TSR of course means Terminate [and] Stay Rockin'.. :dunno:

I read that one, it's not really a lot to go on, the guy sounds like he's tripping of his nuts.

I've done a internet search but nothing detailed at all.  They few shitty reviews or forums chats about it say it's good.

Why recommend this? Digitech TSR-24S  It's not a harmonizer.   I have a Digitech ISP33 which personally I think is really amazing sounding but I am keen to hear what this rare Roctron sounds like.  One is a lot older than the other.

I bought the intellipitch, so hopefully I can try it out soon and let you all know.  In the mean time if anyone knows anything at all about this unit please let chime in.  If it's not for me I'll sell it again.

Yeah, I have one (had two).
Look up ?' resent thread on his Digitech 2110. Those are build on the TSR-24, so the effects library and all are the same.
The TSR has an effects library, a routing and mix engine, two inputs, four outputs, and nothing is fixed connected; any effects can be combined and routed in any ways wanted.
This means you can have two separate mono-in stereo out engines, or stereo in/out, or one mono in/oyt + one mono-in stereo-out, or stereo-in quad out..

Still don't mean to OT your discussion about the Rocktron. Those of their devices I've heard have all been pretty pretty; just never heard the one you're discussing, so..

This must be one rare bird since no one has even heard of it.  Apparently these don't come up for sale very often which can sometimes mean they are that good people don't want rid of them.  Then again it might be shit!!

I got it this morning so I will try it out later on BTW.

  • If it's too Loud...you're gonna get more of THAT.

I don't recall ever seeing one either.  "Heard" of them, (along with the Intelliverb) but not seen.

Very curious to hear how this works out for you!

I really didn't need to buy the unit but I figured it was really rare and may be it is really rare and worth keeping.  I love the IPS33 and I will not sell that but this Rocktron might also be good to own.

I'll get this tested out later hopefully!

Late reply here....
I had one in the late 90s/early 2000s.....
The Intellipitch was Rocktron´s take on the Eventide and is one of the most transparent intelligent pitch shifters out there.
Its basically a beefed-up Intellifex (the 90s almost industry standard guitar rack FX processor) including Rocktron´s HUSH (which you know).
These normally go for real major $$$ IF they pop up which is a rare occasion. If you managed to get it under 400€ you can consider yourself a lucky SOB!
You'll dump that Digitech IPS in an instant for the Intellipitch!

@SC: How would you compare the quality and versatility of the Intellipitch vs the harmonizer in your 2120 ?

As you may know, I've been using a TSR-24 for years; same digital engine as in the 2120.
I'm now trying to compare and maybe prepare for gear change. While I'm quite happy with the TSR-24 harmonizer, it can be a touch too synthetic at times- which I used to like, but my preferences are changing and I have absolutely no use of harmonizing unless it's very clean and natural.

Is there a piece of gear you have not had?

I read that is was the "poor mans"  Eventide on that very thread you linked us to.  To me I'm less fussy with harmonizers, I don't mind the fake quality at all because I see it as an effect anyway, just so long as it's

A) Smart
B) Tracks really well
C) Sounds decent to my ears

The IPS blew my balls off compared to what I was used to with the Boss GT5/GT6/GX700 harmonizers.  So if you really think the Intellipitch is that good then I can't wait to try it out!!!  IPS tracks my playing amazingly fast thanks to the distortion loop.

I was meant to try Intellipitch last night but I ran out of time and had to make up some new patch cables and then I couldn't be bothered to set it all up.  Tonight will be the night however :)

As for the price.  I got mine for £99 (113.06€)  I guess I'm a lucky SOB!

 ;D ;D ;D

Dude, I "grew up" gear-wise while playing in a party rock band with 50+ gigs per year in the early 90s when "more was better". Our other guitar player was the owner of a music store where I jobbed in my spare time after school.
I always got to check out and test-drive whatever piece of guitar gear was brand spankin new, regularly swapping and trading whatever was in my fridge-sized rack.
Add to that approx 200$ per gig everyone of us got cash.

I had the Intellipitch together with a Rocktron Piranha Preamp back in the day and it definitely fulfills your A-C.
Its way better than the successor to the IPS, the DHP.
And for the price you paid....... :thumb-up: :thumb-up: :thumb-up: :thumb-up:

Like a covers band?

50 gigs a year is hard to do with a fulltime job for me personally.  In fact there isn't 50 places to play metal in the whole of Ireland.  We do our fair share though.  One one is wealthy enough to quit their job and this band thing does not pay well at all.

You were in a very lucky position then having the band member with the shop, I was never in that position,  my first amp was and setup was all down to what I could afford really.  It's only now I'm able to experiment.  However I don't like to change to often, it's good to settle on a rig "base" I think.  Also there is practicality involved.  I can't make my rack bigger as I can't get it on planes and I have no roadies to set my shit up in 15mins for shows without sound checks for me either.

Well I'll try record something tonight and post it on youtube.  Weird the Intellipitch did not catch on.  And yes you are right, it's programmed by the same people who did the Eventide.

Hey RG, I used to use the dist loop in my IPS like you, as the manual says, it uses the signal direct from the guitar to track but then applies it to the distorted sound (which it got from send 3 on my desk).  But it was such a pain to plug the guitar into the back of the unit (particularly changing guitars if a string popped). So I stopped using the loop and it still tracked just fine.  Have you tried it both ways ?
