Hey VoxG2, unless it's REALLY cheap I wouldn't buy it. It's not a MIDI pedal although can be made to be (http://www.joness.com/gr300/FC-100.htm) apparently. Lots of stuffing around coming your way with this option (I'm thinking  :facepalm: ), the Behringer FCB  is a much better option at the cheap end of midi pedals (IMO), it will blow you out what you can do with it and you can program it from your PC (or smart thingy ?) (I'm also assuming the GP-8 thingy accepts midi  :dunno: ).

The Behringer FCB1010 has 2 expression pedals in it already...I think you would not need an extra one...  :lol: :thumb-up:

But you cannot connect other exp. pedals anyway...while you can switch channels of your amp...

I tryed the FCB1010 a few years ago to control some plugins in cubase. The range of the expression pedals where really wrong and I didn't really liked the feel of it. The pedal have a really cheap feeling under the foot.

The range issue can have two causes:
* the physical range of movement in the pedal, which is a Bit limited compared to other swell pedals
* the data range not being properly setup/calibrated, which can be done either on the device it controls (like and ADA), or from the FCB menu (IIRC)

Regarding how the FCB swell pedals feels a Bit not uqite right under the foot.. this is because the part onto which the foot is resting is really a Bit too short.
When you place your foot on it, you'll automatically hit it in such a way that your foot sticks out on both ends, and this will make it feel wrong, simply because the angular movement now doesn't sit correctly under your heel/ankle.
Move the foot a Bit forwards, so the heel sits flush to the pedal, and it'll feel and work correctly.

This can easily be fixed by simply attaching a piece of something to the toe end of the pedal, thus making it longer, so that you'll automatically hit it correctly with your big boot.

Any of the ADA pedals MC-1, MPC, MXC will work fine and power via 7 pin midi lead and wall wart in the rack. MC-1 does everything you want but is very wide, MPC is the first 2 row thinner/smaller format. The MXC is much the same layout as MPC but includes CC features (which don't work with MP-1). I used the MC-1 for years and sold it with my MP-1, I suspect MikeB still has it  :dunno: , he uses a FCB these days so may sell it to you ? It did plenty of miles but I looked after it and can vouch for it's heritage.

I have a Tech 21 Midi Moose.
I run it with the phantom power from the MP-1 but I had to make my own cable since the preamp is 7 pin and the foot switch is 5 pin. 
The Midi Moose can also be powered with an external 9 volt power supply or a 9 volt battery.
