Old trim pot mod for the tube board?
« on: Time Format »

In another post, Nolan (IIRC) mentioned an older mod featuring trimmers on the tube board, allegedly allowing for some tonality trimming.
Any info on this?

Hey Van, while I'm attracted to the idea I don't remember a mod to that effect  :dunno: But then there are lots of things I don't remember LoL.

Cheers R

Mmm well it's entirely possible, I do tend to blurt out ideas from time to time. I don't recall (just now anyway  ) an older mod to do it however, but whatever, it's a good idea (IMO).  Where I may have been thinking is, given the various voicings' in the tube circuit are controlled (to some extent) with digital parameters and switching, they are fixed points, can some of those be more flexible (electronically).  Well I'm sure they can but what's involved to do it? Probably re-program the EPROM LoL.
