High pitch squeal
« on: Time Format »

I hooked up my Ada mp1 with an ibanez tube screamer in the input and a chorus, delay and boss noise suppressorin the effects loop. I was messing around with all the settings while using my Jackson sl2h with emg 81-85 pickups . All was good till I decided to change guitars . Once I unplugged the Jackson a high pitch squeal came through , not feed back. When I plug in any other guitar I get the squeal now. If I back off the master gain to 4.5 it goes away, if I increase the out put or gain on the tube dreamer it comes back. This one has me baffled . A ideas guys

Sounds like just too much gain before the input MP1, like the tube screamer is pushing the MP1 input too hard. You could try keeping the TS output down so it doesn't push the MP1 input so hard.  Also careful with the units in the loop to get their gain structure right compared to one another and also for the loop overall. I'd also add things one at a time to rule out any issues, eg get the TS worked out first (nothing in the loop) then bring them in one by one.

I was able to figure it out last night but thanx. It was one of the effects in the effects loop . The chorus pedal I'm using is a boutique that has the volume pots inside adjusted by a screw driver. It had an input volume and an output volume , kinda weird but that's guys for the reply
