AllParts has a few varieties of roller nuts
The Fender ones come in different widths to accommodate the different neck sizes.

Wow!

That's quite a guitar, and great craftsmanship. I've been using LSR roller nuts since 1993, and they are the best IMHO if you are not hip to a locking FR nut.
I've never had much success with the Wilkinson Tremolos though.

I'd be interested in hearing what that guitar can do. Got any sound clips?

Hey Gerry, F^ck that guy. He sounds like he trolls everyone. Must suffer from small penis envy  or something.
I wouldn't give his review a second thought, other than maybe wiping my ass with it. :poop:

Careful Soloist, that might leave a different stain!

Critics are people who can't do anything in life other than talk about what everyone else is doing. It doesn't mean they are right about anything, they simply try to sound like they are an authority on a subject by introducing some form of snobbery into their banter. Unfortunately, the world is full of critics, and yet for every critic who bashes an artist, there are 100 people who like the artist and the topic being bashed.

The only thing I can say about any reviewer, or critic is this: To this day, I have yet to see any one of them offer up an artistic contribution of their own, to clearly demonstrate what their concept of perfection should be. Have you?

I agree, very creative music :thumb-up:

I really like that sort of thing. It makes music more of an adventure, both for the musician and the listener.

5
That's very cool stuff, I never heard of them before. Where are they from?

Yep, that's what I was thinking. Let her see how you learn a song so she can copy your method.

Instead of trying to think of songs from our age group to teach her, maybe you should look into what she is listening to. You might have to learn it first to teach her, but that's what I would do if I were in that situation.
Have you heard any song in particular that she listens to a lot?

They can keep it

I think you're right, they did disappear in early '96. That was shortly after the Music Man EVH model guitar hit the market IIRC.
I know I was using the Classic the year before they vanished with my old band,(Band Of Heathens), because I took the original MP-1 out of the rack, and the Classic replaced it. Everyone liked the sound of that one better.

Hey Harley, could it be it was mid '94 when they came out?

Mid -94 was when ADA disappeared, wasn't it? The Classic was introduced the year after the original was discontinued. I know I picked up my first one in '94 and they had already been out for a while.

Hi Joe P,
Restoring the factory presets does put it back to the exact settings from the factory. And yes, the Classic is a very different version from the original.
I'm not completely certain of this, but I think the Classic was introduced in 1992. I don't know how many were made though, but there were not nearly as many as the original. That's why they are so hard to find, and most of the time, very over-priced in the used market.

12
Hi Joe P,
Have you restored the 39 factory presets already? I'm not sure what you are asking as far as performing a complete clear to the Classic.

Which one of them played the Accordion  :metal:

I agree Richard,

They have some interesting appointments, and I'm thinking of the ones with the Rockfield pickups. I've been seeing them on ebay occasionally, used, and they are going for about the same price as the new SUB basses.
It all comes down to this: I don't need anything really flashy, just good enough to record with and get a decent tone. Of course, flexibility doesn't hurt either.

MJMP,

I tend to lean more towards progressive styles in a lot of genres, that's the kind of thing that gets my attention, and I hear a lot of that in Gerry's guitar style. I also like his guitar tone, it's kind of like John Petrucci meets K.K.Downing/Glenn Tipton kind of tone.
I listen to everything except Country music and Polkas, I just pick out the things I like in everything I listen to.
