I've posting questions about doing the noise mod on here because I assume it will fix this hum that's made my MP-2 pretty much useless, yes it's really that loud. I've had it for years and haven't used it because of this. I'm just now getting around to trying to fix it. Let me know what you guys think the problem is. I recorded a small sample of the hum. I just played a simple riff to give you an idea of how loud the hum is compared to the signal. If this isn't the noise that the noise mod repairs please let me know what you think is causing this.   :( Thanks guys!

You mean the noise mod PDF file? I downloaded it and am going to attempt it. I'm just curious if that fixes the hum in the audio example I posted or if it fixes a different noise issue. I don't know if they are related or separate.
