Well it seems I'm one of the few that DOESN'T use pedals  ;D well except for my midi pedal.

Usually those regulators work, or they don't, never saw ones that "kinda" worked. Now it's always a good idea to change those M type regulators because they fail sometimes.
About the common noise, why did your scope display 50Hz?

Also be carefull with putting 220µF caps on the output of those regulators, read the datasheet about using large caps.

Maybe you measured some common mode noise on those regulators?

I'm curious, how can you measure 50Hz ripple with a full bridge and full wave rectifier?

How do you "measure" the noise level?

Well welcome back !!!!  :thumb-up:

Well I would get an arduino uno or mega, an lcd (size of choice), a few knobs or buttons and a midi board for the arduino and you should be able to make what you need.

@tomy, biggest one I ever seen was a 4x40

So if I understand correctly, you need something that will give you a name (or name and number) on a 2x16 LCD screen (that you just can program in) for each preset you use? And you just plug in your midi cable and go midi out to the MB-/MP-1?

Or does it do more like R says?

I think for most guitar players, tone is a never ending story  ^-^

It's always nice to have old members come back, so welcome !

Seems like a driver problem? what soundcard do you use?

Are you using the rear input on the MP-2 ,Soloist?
Yes, yes I am using the rear input.
Also it doesn't matter if the comp is on or off same with the gate. A firm tap over the lcd display area usually does the trick (for a little while anyways).

Maybe it's the front input jack, because the signal from the back is routed through a contact on the front input jack.
