Title: Big shout out to MJMP
Post by: Dna^Yay on September 06, 2014, 02:38:40 PM
Just would like to say a big thank you to MJMP, he has helped me over the past few months while i was modding my MP1, then once i buggered it up and sent it to him he was very helpful. Even when it came back and it broke again he fixed it with some extra tweaks and now the thing sounds fantastic !! Really just want to express my thanks to MJMP and being patient with my barrage of questions.  :banana-trip:  :whoohoo!:

I too can vouch for MJMP's awesome helpfulness and kindness.

I am just entering into the MP1 realm and it is great to know there are people like MJMP to consult and ask endless amounts of silly questions on here that they probably have answered 1000 times.  So thanks from me as well ;)

Marshall, MP1 in the post to you at the end of the month :banana-rock

+1  :thumb-up: in MJMP we trust, and very very much appreciate  , but also thanks to everyone here for their thoughts and contributions and interesting questions/answers (isn't it time the bass guys got a bit active again ? lol). It's great to be part of the depot. 426 members  :whoohoo!: , and a community that I (and I'm sure MJMP) are proud to be part of. Ultimate thanks of course to Dante (and who's the keeper of the domain name for us ?  :thumb-up: :thumb-up: ) for giving us the platform.

Again Big Shout Out to MJMP, thanks so much for being here with us all.
Cheers R

Yes thanks to all who were part of setting up this site.  I'd not have bought my mp1's had I not saw that this site existed. I knew with the knowledge on here I could take care of any issues my device might have, or better still get MJMP to do it!!

Great people are still finding these units and keeping them going strong.

I reiterate that I've not heard a better guit preamp than MP1/2 in 40 + years of playing.  There's some nice gear around, but these preamps are IMHO the best, they are getting on in age (albeit very robust), so it's great we can keep them going  :thumb-up: And to all that contribute here to that end  thanks  :whoohoo!:

Hey Chamai, very happy to help, IMHO the MP1/2 are the best preamps ever, and they are addictive.  It's great to be part of this forum (and previous incarnations), it's the only one I've ever been involved with, and moreover, glad we can keep Jurries legacy going, I'm sure if he's watching somewhere, he'd be chuffed  :whoohoo!:
Cheers R

I agree, I'm trying to track down a mp2 but I am having some trouble. I wished I knew about this pre amp sooner. As much as I like all tube Marshall's, they are hard to tame even with attenuators. I can get an amazing sound out of my mp1s with bedroom levels. Even my wife said it sounds a lot better than my jcm 900. I have to say, this forum is the best one I've joined. Great people. Will post pics of my setup soon hehe

Hey Chamai, glad to have you here with us  :thumb-up: What country/voltage MP2 do you need ? I'm an MP2 convert for many years now (trouble is transformer swap in MP2 doesn't seem to be an option (well it is but you'd have to swap existing transformers)), and while I miss the MP1 in some ways, I love the MP2  >:D Looking forward to your pics and regards to your wife (putting up with us isn't an easy path lol)
Cheers R

I live in Canada so I believe we are 110v here. I'm actually on eBay right now. Seems like there are quite a few Ada rack effects for sale. And I have to admit, the reissue phaser pedal sounds amazing.

Well hopefully a 110v MP2 turns up for you to buy (US, Japan), if you find one (and they are around), it would be even better with the MXC foot controller and pedals. Put a WTB post in the Gear section here so others will see it.
