Title: DOD Carcosa as a boost/crunch pedal?
Post by: vansinn on January 20, 2020, 10:16:41 PM
Just noticed this pedal, thinking, set to a light distortion, it might be neat for two purposes:
would be a nice booster for solos
would create a slightly crunchy/bluesy tone with my MP2 in fat clean mode

I never heard of it van Sinn, mind you, there are loads of kit/pedals and equipment that I would not be familiar with at all because I only use my 3TM all of the time for my axe sound and have never had any need to try out other gear as I'm happy enough with what I got.

It sounds good though and the guy plays very well. But me, I like the tube distortion that the 3TM is famous for and of course any amount of it on demand.

Thanks for sharing, it's nice to hear and compare. It's a subjective topic for everyone.

Of course we can't all have heard of every pedal out there.. ;)
I too prefer real tube distortion and cleans over anything else.
It's just that my MP2 is incapable of cleans with a bluesy/jazzy grit to it, and further, that I'd like to have some means of changing gain/tone for a solo, and without having to switch to yet another preset.
Hence I'm looking for 'something' for adding this to my soundscapes..
