Has anyone stoped playing untill new gear arrived??? This is happening too me, this week I ordered a pair of Scumback speakers after trying out a cab that a friend of mine made with them and now I can't stand the sound of my old cab that I preffer to not play for a week than to hear the tone of my old cab!!!

I'm I too picky or this has happend to someone else?

Hey El, each to their own with picky, LOL I totally understand, like MJMP changing his 3TM tubes every couple of months, I really get that too. For me I have my 2nd MP2 in the studio rack and cab sim outs into the studio monitors (TC M-one-XL delay/rev), the only irritant is I only have one MXC pedal set up so I have to get it out of the live rig pack and remember to repack it prior to live jams down the coast.
But I'm also very settled with my tone and the cabs I use these days.  Biggest change for me in recent times is the Mullard long plates mmmm for me, a whole new sonic stage.

Yeha so it would be like you have to wait to get new Mullards and having to go back for like 10 days to a normal tube and then when you play you realice that you cant stand that tone and preffer to wait! jeje

Absolutely  +1 The Mullards are now a fundamental to my tone (and the best change in years BTW, but would it stop me playing completely if I had to use other tubes for a short time  , fortuitously (for this conversation) I don't play as much these days, but I'd use what I had to, if you don't have to, you can wait (but I'm sure your current speakers aren't that terrible, you've liked them up to now, give them a send off LOL)).
