ADA GCS-2/3 and the future GCS-4
« on: Time Format »

ADA just posted this on their Faceb**k page:

¨ATTENTION: GCS-3 FAQ
Q: The A/DA GCS-3 has a -30 dB Pad. Does it also give a load to the guitar amp? Can I unplug the Speaker lead in my Blues Junior and connect the Amp O/P to the GCS-3 with the -30 dB switch on , so I can play silently, or do I need an extra Load connected to the Pass Thru socket? I want to crank up my amp at home. If I need a load, what would you suggest?
A: The GCS-3 is NOT a load for a power amp. The -30dB PAD is used to handle the very large signal from a power amp only. We are working on a GCS-4 which includes a 4, 8 and 16 ohm load
internally. It should be available mid-December. Otherwise you will need to find a load box to plug in the THRU jack of
the GCS-3 to play silently.¨

Looks like they read my emails with that GCS-4 idea!

BTW there should be a forum just for the ADA GCS lineup.

I think it would be a good idea since more people will try them out in the future and looks like ADA will continue to do reaserch on that front.
