Hairston

Just sending a shout out to all my old friends. I applaud you all for keeping this site alive. Losing Jurrie really messed me up in terms of enjoying this site again, but I am back and hoping to move on. Rock on!

Who from back in the day is still active here?

Thanks guys!

Also if anybody is in need of parts in the States, I still have a bunch of MP-1 parts left over.

Holy Toledo!

    Hey Hairston

I haven't seen you in forever! I thought maybe I scared you off or something

How have you been? I hope all is good with you and yours. It's good to see you here again.

BTW: I think I still have a MP-1 that is only good for parts, then again, maybe it can be repaired. :dunno: I never did anything with it after I found out it wasn't working.

I'll bet it can be repaired, I don't doubt your ability in the slightest  ;)

I would have to go find it. I think it may be packed away in a box in the basement. I haven't seen it in years.

I'll get in touch with you.

Welcome back Hairston. I don't think you were still around when I showed up, but I could be wrong. We didn't talk much back then...I was struggling to get my dang ol MP2 back into commission back then. That's how I found the Depot, looking for help like everyone else. Now I gotta get my Classic running - haha, it never ends

It's good to see an OG poster like you (and Harley) back in here. Gotta get Chucky, Chester, and Panda in here more ;)

I know I'm a newbie and this is a thread is for the OG's so sorry, but talking about parts, my MP1 is missing a heap of the screws from the outside shell if anyone can help or know where I can get the right screws, it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried buying screws but they never have the right thread cut. After bringing it back to life and falling in love with it I just hate the fact I can't find the right screws. Thanks guys.

If you were here in the States, I could steer you in the right direction. If there is a supplier for electronics project boxes near you, or even a distributor for electrical panel controls, you might be able to source them from there. These are basically fine thread machine screws.

Even if they are steel or nickel, you could still spray paint them flat black. You might have to buy a bulk quantity though.
