My first tattoo
« on: Time Format »

Ok guys...I know it has nothing to do with tube preamps...but I wanted to share with you people!

I started from a wonderful statue of an Angel that's located on a family tomb in the Staglieno monumental cemetery, here in Genova.
I love that Angel since longtime and you can see a picture here.

Then I added a tribute to Necrodeath (Methodical Killer), a famous black/thrash metal band from Genova that's on the scene since more than 30 years...the song is Master of Morphine, the one I love more...you can find the official video here (those guys are still around, alive and kicking...).

Then I found the right one to do the job.
And she has done a great job!

I'm not a huge fan of the music, but I gotta respect the playing. Those guys are tight, guitar player is really good too.

I am a huge fan of art though, and that statue is amazing. Nice Tat buddy, now get to work on that sleeve and later, the whole suit :)

I'm kidding, I don't have a single tat

I wish my first tat was half as awesome as that one!     :thumb-up:

I'd never recommend someone to get a tattoo if they don't have any.  But I would tell them that if they should decide to get one, make damn sure it's going to be the best one ever because you're stuck with it.

That my Friend, is some fantastic artwork.

Necrodeath vid was interesting.  I was expecting way more technical style of playing, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly complicated just for the sake of being "technical and brutal"...and complicated.  lol

Max, you happen to know the guys in Hour of Penance?  They toured here a few years ago and opened for Cannibal Corpse at a local club.  I was able to meet them; great bunch of guys.  James Payne is one of the best drummers in that genre.
