Hey Shibiwan, the  Anderson I spose is vintage.  It's one of the first he made when Schecter got bought out, allegedly he was doing R&D for them, mainly pickups  .  So he went out on his own and started Tom Anderson guitars using the Bill Laurence Ultrasonic PUs.  Mine is the first Pro Am in Australia.  IIRC the importer (Pro Audio) also brought in the first MP-1s at the same time (which I also bought).  The JPLP is 2006 and one of 850 made.  They also did ~25? signed by Page and also some aged.  So it's collectable, I saw one being auctioned for 32k USD. A guitar collector was liquidating his collection and sent a bunch to my local music store to sell.  I tripped over it and fell in love with it. Cost me $7k AUD reduced from $9k AUD.  At that point I didn't know anything about it except it had the best LP neck I've ever come across. 

@Harley, I spose ADA gear is vintage these days?  I probably consider my '73 Marshall 50 to be vintage  .  My ADA gear is obviously getting old but still works well.  There hasn't been anything since that is as good (for me) or I'd consider modernising.

I found a low resolution pic of somebody repairing one, it was folded back and bundled with a zip tie. I couldn't figure out what to connect it to, now I  know. I can also see the dent in my wires where the zip tie used to be.

I see those exact part numbers on mine, now that I've removed that bar from the top. Both are greasy on top, eeeewww...each of these thingys is on a pile of white grease (dialectric?) and there's a square sheet of something under each one, gotta be the mylar

I'll order 10 of each part, shipping will be more than the items

The real question is, how long with this thing last once I replace those? Am I doomed to do this repair over an over ?

I think Gregg would have to have one of these on the bench to trace the circuit and see what's up.

Still, I find this to be an odd issue in the Classic. But I digress, these are old electronics now and components do fail after enough time goes by.

   With locking tuners, I only have 1/2 to 3/4 of a wrap around the post. Any more than that and tuning won't return to pitch.

    The staggered tuners help with the string break, as I've had no issues with that since I removed the trees. Most people love the sound of that Strat and want me to play it more, and I agree, it sounds great. It's just so bleeping heavy!

Some people consider ADA rack gear as "vintage" these days.

I still think it's better than most of the junk out there right now.
