Title: ADA MP2 loud low buzzing noise- capicitor loose
Post by: losman26 on December 13, 2017, 08:00:14 AM
I had this problem a few weeks on tube voicings 7-10 then it went away.  I took my amp a friend's house and the low buzzing sound started.  I opened up the mp2 and the capacitor closest to tube 1 fell off.  What's the best method of fixing this?  Buy another capacitor and resolder?  Also, where does the positve and negative connect?

Buy a new one, get the old wires from the cap out and put a new cap in it. Polarity is printed on the pcb.

What does PCB mean?  Where can I buy a new one?  The one I have says - TEAPO- 10uF 350V, SEK 85C, 07/93(M)

PCB means printed circuit board.Any electronics store should have these, or online somewhere. (mouser, digikey etc..)

Finally got around to doing it today, and it was easier than I thought.  Everything working fine now.

Thanks!
