Title: B500B 240v transformer needed
Post by: rnolan on March 03, 2015, 10:38:46 PM
Anyone got or know of where I can get a B500B 240 v transformer ?  Seems that unlike the B200s (which has lots of room inside for a toroidal), the B500B has much less space.
BTW if anyone needs a US 110v B500B tranny, BoWeevil has one spare LOL (Bo's in the US)
And I have a spare B200s 110v from previous change out (I'm in Australia)

My old Boogie 50/50 was originally the US domestic 110V version. The usual replacement PTs for 220/240V were around 200€....
I found these guys here in Germany: http://www.roehrenendstufen.de (http://www.roehrenendstufen.de)
Aside from their standard PT models as offered on their HP, they also do custom ones tailor made to whatever specs one can provide....
I got in contact in with them, mailed them the schematics of the 50/50 and the measurements in terms of size of the original PT and they built me a one-off 220/240V PT for 80€!!!!

Maybe that's an option to get a 240V PT for your B500...here's their eMail for ctc:

Hey SC, you are a wealth of knowledge my friend, thanks for that, 80 Euros would be doable and the B500B is in Belgium with MJMP (minus US transformer LOL).
@MJMP, can you chase this up ?
Cheers R

Had a look at the website, it has an English version selection that doesn't change anything when you click it  , ahh if only I could read German LOL.

Pretty sure they could do that...but that would be up to MJMP to get in touch with them, send them schematics/specs and a sample...the owner who I got in touch with concerning my 50/50 replacement trannyis an awesome guy and always open to any customer requirements etc...

Hope everyone is well. I visit this place everyday, but don't have much to give back yet.

I broke my left hand index finger in late January, which means I'm screwed for awhile.

But, just awhile. I'll be back!!  :)

I sliced the tendon of my left hand index finger years ago (between last joint, very sharp chisel). it's time for your 4th finger to get strong (if it wasn't already), the open stuff is hard(er) but the rest, no problem  >:D Although when you want to blues it with your thumb over the top, you'll need to use 2,3,4, to easy....
