scratchy noise in high E notes on MP-1

Has anyone notice a little scratchy noise in the high E notes of your MP-1? Would this meen that I need to change a cap or something thats been there for a unit of +20 years?

Could be tubes (how old are they ?), how old is the jack socket on your guitar ? how's you guit lead ? not to say it's not an old cap that needs replacing, but check the others first ?

Jaja honestly... I've never changed the tubes!!! I know its LOOONG overdue :(

Tubes change is a good place to start then  :thumb-up: , could well be what you are hearing, also tubes go off very slowly over time so you don't tend to notice, new tubes are a bit like new strings, full of life  >:D (although last much longer than strings  ;) )
